Ron Yakir is currently a principle with KDI, Ltd. where he heads KDI's Wealth Management consultative practice, with a special focus on Asia Pacific. The rising economies in the region, with the corresponding rise in personal wealth, are creating excellent opportunities for financial institutions to provide their clients with additional services.

Prior to the position at KDI, Ron Yakir worked with UBS, heading the Marketing Technology organization for the Americas International Wealth Management business, based in New York. The Marketing Technology organization is responsible for defining business processes and the associated technology platform to support them. Training and coaching are a significant component in ensuring full and efficient use of the technology as it is rolled out.

Before his work in New York, Ron Yakir was working for UBS in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for creating the Global Client Adviser Workbench - an integrated platform for Client Advisors, enabling highly efficient client interaction.

His work in Hong Kong was a continuation of work he had completed for UBS in Switzerland - `The UBS Client Experience'. The client experience is at the center of any successful retail business. In the wealth management industry in particular, customer trust and loyalty are critical factors in sustainable business growth. The primary challenge of this initiative was to provide client advisors with the necessary capabilities to manage their book of business efficiently, while at the same time allowing clients to feel well understood and tended to.

In Zurich, Ron Yakir was also in charge of creating a new form of product sales platform, The Advisory Toolkit, which allows client advisers to quickly and easily creates highly customized client proposals for managed portfolios. By collecting relevant client details, a client adviser can create tailored proposals, suited to the clients' investment goals and risk preferences.

Ron Yakir received a Master's of Science degree from the Currant Institute of Mathematics at New York University and was awarded a Bachelors of Fine Art degree by the Rhode Island School of Design.
